In less than 6 days Chris and I (and 2 other couples) are leaving the States and heading to Central America. We are going to Belize and Guatemala and are even contemplating a day trip to the state of Quintana Roo in Southern Mexico. Our rough plans so far look like this.
Day 1 Travel and some quick sight seeing
Day 2 Cave of the Crystal Maiden or Actun Tunichil Muknal (aka ATM)
Day 3 Caracol
Day 4 Guatemala and Tikal
Day 5 Finish Tikal and Head to Caye (pronounced key) Caulker
Day 6-10 Life on an island snorkeling, fishing, day trips to Mexico, beach, sand, sun, and then home.
Day 1- 3 we are staying at an eco- lodge (read-cold showers, no electricity). The place in named Lower Dover and is run by a couple from Wisconsin. Then we will go to Caye Calker and we have rented a boute 1 block form the beach.
All of this is of course subject to change at my whims and discretion.
